Latte art is a truly amazing phenomenon. Just when you think humanity couldn’t possibly get any more creative, it seems that some unknown artist creates an international phenomenon out of a medium no one has even ever considered trying to be creative with. Once a fringe talent, Latte Art has permeated popular culture. It’s nearly impossible to scroll you Twitter or Facebook feed without coming across a gallery or video of someone making some truly extraordinary out of a coffee. How someone could make something out of milk is completely beyond me!
Just a quick google search can lead you down a rabbit hole of creamy artwork that will have you captivated for a while! This is one of my favorite ones! Many of them are incredible but if you want to see someone who’s clearly at the top of his game, you’ll want to check out the next videos.
Aren’t they amazing? While I’m not delusional enough to think I could recreate some of those, I am slightly encouraged by watching the video. It seems like if you just know where to add the foam and chocolate syrup you can pretty much do anything and make it look great! At various times, he just made simple lines, or swirls or circles and the final product was incredible! While I won’t be applying for any barista jobs any time soon, I will almost definitely try something out for tomorrow’s cup of coffee.
