This may have been one of my favorite coffees in recent memory. It’s no secret that I am a fan of tropical light roasts, and this Ethiopian coffee is not one to disappoint! It is packed with tropical sweetness undoubtedly thanks to the high elevation at which it is grown. It gives you predominant overtones of pineapple, passion fruit, and mango, all tied together with a honeysuckle aroma. After lingering for a moment, these flavours give way to a robust spicyness accented with a sweet chocolatey aftertaste. This is a naturally dried coffee, meaning that the beans are allowed to dry and ferment within the husk of the coffee cherry.
Barrington Coffee House is a new one to me but if this coffee is any indicator of their quality level I’ll be sure to be placing another order in the near future! The website is very well designed, keeping the emphasis on the product rather than convoluted navigation. The checkout process is a breeze and they even throw in free shipping for orders over $75.
